History :

Ypäjä Equine College and National Training Center started as the heart of Finnish equestrianism in the beginning of 1930’s : National Cavalry School, National Stud and School for Horse Management, in the beginning of 1970’s also the first education for Riding Instructors. Since 1993 Ypäjä Equine College Ltd, owned by the Equestrian Federation Finland, the National Breeding and Trotting organisation Suomen Hippos, three local municipalities and the Ministry of Education and Culture, has been running the activities of vocational education and training.    

 

Missions:

The main mission of Ypäjä Equine College is to educate professionals of high international level. The variation of qualifications offered is wide: from the strong basics of Horse Management to the specializations of Breeding, Farriery, Saddlery, Trotting racing, Touristic services, Equestrian Business Management and the three international levels of Riding Instructor and Equestrian Trainer. The National Training Center organises competitions and trainings on national and international level through the year, which gives the students and staff a special added value to their work.
