History :

The Norwegian Horse Association is located on historical ground, and the area was used by the Norwegian army from 1896 to 1985. The Norwegian Horse Association was founded in 1985, as a result of the closure of the horse infantry in the Norwegian army. The Association was founded by the Norwegian Ministry of Agriculture and has 17 founder organizations.

 

Missions:

The vision of the Norwegian Horse Association is to have an active and leading role in strengthening the quality of the equine sector in Norway. We focus mainly on education and quality control of horse personnel, as well as provide breeding advice and facilitation for the horse breeding organizations.
